Ceramic Coating

Ceramic Coating

One of our fastest growing coatings in the aviation market right now is ceramic coating. Ceramics are commonly used on cabinet hinges and hardware. They offer a very thin film build for close tolerance parts and are available in a wider variety of colors to match the aircraft interior compared to plating or anodizing. They are also extremely durable. In fact, we have been coating thresholds with excellent success in a lasting coating.

Why Choose Ceramic Coating?

Ceramic coatings offer a very thin (0.25-1mil) film build ideal for close tolerance parts, such as latches and hinges. It is both durable and long-lasting even in the harshest of aviation environments.

Ceramic coatings are available in well over 100 different colors. We also have the ability to custom mix colors.

High Temp Ceramic Coating

High temperature ceramics act as a thermal barrier to help contain heat by providing an insulative coating on your parts. These ceramics are very popular in the automotive industry for exhaust manifolds, headers, and turbo housings. They keep under hood temperatures down by insulating the components from radiant heat and forcing it out the exhaust.

These ceramic coatings have the ability to withstand temperatures of up to 2000°F and provide incredible adhesion and color retention under thousands of heat cycles. In addition to these properties, high temperature ceramics protect against rust and corrosion and are UV stable.

Aircraft exhaust systems and pipes, heat shields, and engine baffles are excellent candidates for ceramic coatings. Ceramics are extremely resistant to fuel and oil, provide thermal barrier protection to keep your engine cool, and help to clean up the overall look of your engine under the cowl.
