Powder Coating

What is Powder Coating?

Powder coating is a type of finish that is more durable and chip-resistant than traditional paint. It can be applied to a wide range of materials in a variety of applications. The powder coating process consists of spraying finely ground particles of pigment and resin which are electrostatically charged onto an electrically grounded metal part. This allows the charged, dry particles to adhere to the part until it is heated. The heat causes the particles to “gel” into a smooth, consistent and uniform finish.

The end result is an attractive, durable, high-quality finish.

Why Choose Powder Coating?

Powders are available in a wide variety of colors and textures. Powder coating is an excellent coating option due to its durability and wear resistance.

Powder is typically applied at a thickness of 3-5 mils.
